For the first time ever, our annual conference will be virtual, with content delivered through an engaging online platform that provides a balance between cutting edge technical sessions and networking.

We continue to be hopeful that the SEG 100 Conference will include an in-person component at Whistler. Current local COVID-19 regulations in British Columbia would not allow this to happen. If this situation changes, we will open in-person registration, but, in any event, no later than July 22, 2021. If the rules will not allow a gathering in Whistler by that time, then the in-person component of the conference will not proceed.

For current updates on COVID-19 restrictions in Vancouver, BC, Canada and around the world, visit the following websites:

Conference: Early registration ends on August 15, 2021 and regular registration ends on September 10, 2021.

Workshops: Early registration ends on August 15, 2021 and regular registration ends on September 10, 2021.

When: September 14–17, 2021

Where: Right here on your computer! Closer to the event we will send you access instructions to our selected virtual platform, Hubilo.

We continue to be hopeful that SEG 100 will include an in-person component at Whistler. Current local COVID-19 regulations in British Columbia would not allow this to happen. If this situation changes, we will immediately move to open in-person registration. Anyone already registered for the virtual conference will be given priority for registering for the in-person conference.

If the rules do not allow a gathering in Whistler by that time, then the in-person component of the meeting will be canceled. A final decision will be made no later than July 22, 2021.

The conference will take place in Pacific Daylight Time.

Workshops, student, and early career professional events are scheduled before, during, and after the conference. View the technical program for an updated list of talks and speakers.

Sessions and workshops will be recorded and made available to paid attendees as soon as possible following the live event. The virtual platform allows content to be accessed for up to one year.
