Field Trips

The SEG 2025 Conference will continue the Society's long-standing tradition of providing a wide range of world-class pre- and post-conference field trips that explore regionally significant deposit types.

SEG field trip participants will have the unique opportunity to directly experience the remarkable geological, environmental, and cultural diversity that's spread across this vast continent, and beyond. From giant Archean gold deposits in Western Australia to world-class Proterozoic copper districts in South Australia and Queensland, as well as various types of Paleozoic magmatic-hydrothermal Cu, Au, Sn and W deposits along the Australian east coast, there's truly a remarkable amount of mineralogical endowment to explore. Unique opportunities to potentially visit projects and field locations in Indonesia, Papa New Guinea, and New Zealand are also being pursued.
