SEG Branding

Logos

The SEG logo is available in two options, as well as an icon, and can be used with or without the website URL depending on size and usage.

Traditional Logo

The Society's original design, slightly modified, and should be used for normal- to larger-sized applications (publications, banners, presentations, etc.)

Traditional Logo

Modern Logo

Created to adapt to smaller uses (websites, footers, emails, etc.)

Modern Logo

Icon

A simplified merger of traditional and modern; meant for very small uses (publication spines, bullet points, etc.)

Logo Usage

DO NOT resize, skew, or modify these graphics. If you need a larger logo or custom size, or are unsure and would like advice or approval, please contact jeffdoyle@segweb.org. We will be happy to accommodate your needs.

  • The logo must be surrounded by an area of isolation equal in height to the thickness of the blue outer ring. This area is built into the graphic as white space. DO NOT crop the white space from the image file.
  • The logo should never have a border (for websites make sure the border attribute is set to zero if applying a link to the image).
  • Colors may not be altered in any way. DO NOT use the CMYK version in an RGB environment or vice-versa. The Pantone® colors are 282 (blue) and 871 (gold).

SEG Student Chapter Logo Guidelines

Student Chapters are important in increasing visibility of the Society and we encourage the use of its logo to help promote your chapter. Please respect the area of isolation (above) when incorporating the SEG logo and follow the general guidelines below. DO NOT resize, skew, or modify these graphics. If you need a larger logo or custom size, or are unsure and would like advice, please contact jeffdoyle@segweb.org. We will be happy to accommodate your needs.

When you have completed your design, please submit to Vicky in Student Services for approval at students@segweb.org.

Do's and Don'ts

Hollowing Out the Logo

This has been a common practice but will only be allowed when the finished result does not resemble the SEG logo in any way.

Hollowing Out the Logo

Replacing/Removing Elements

The SEG logo must always remain as-is when incorporating into your design. Please also respect the area of isolation as illustrated above.
