Mineral Deposits of China - POSTPONED

Mineral Deposits of China - POSTPONED
Event Image

This event has been postponed and new dates will be provided soon.

China is among the top four global producers of 32 of the 40 commonly used metals, within a variety of ore deposits across a large landmass that contains almost all types of geological settings produced in a long geological history. However, most of the deposits are not well-described in the scientific literature. This 5-day workshop presents the features of and insights learned from the study of the ~1300 most important Chinese deposits of the major ore deposit types by the authors of the recently published SEG Special Publication No. 22, Mineral Deposits of China. The team authoring chapters on ore deposit types consisted of leading international and Chinese experts to ensure that the deposits are described in a global context and up-to-date manner. This workshop will also feature informal sample examination sessions in the evenings.

Language: English, with slides in both English and Chinese
