SEG Support for Students
SEG is committed to supporting both the academic and professional development of undergraduate and graduate students across the globe, by promoting and encouraging engagement in a variety of events. From workshops, conferences, and short courses, to world-wide field trips, each facilitates learning, networking, and sharing of experiences between students and other members within SEG. Funding programs such as research grants, fellowships, field trip grants are available for students and Student Chapter groups to facilitate learning and personal growth.
The Students Committee (SC) works jointly with the Student Affairs Committee, SEG Council, and the Student Chapters to stimulate involvement and participation of undergraduate and graduate students within the Society's activities, and to design effective ways to make this support available to all who have an interest in economic geology.
