GSF Recipients (2012)

The GSF Program provides fellowships to students who intend to pursue a course of study in economic geology leading to a Professional Master’s, Master of Science (M.Sc.) and/or Ph.D. degree, with preference given to those who will be entering graduate school following completion of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or equivalent. A total of US$199,500 was awarded to 33 students, however 2 awards totaling US$6,700 were ruled ineligible and therefore not disbursed, and CAN$30,000 was awarded to five students who will be, or who are currently enrolled as, first-year graduate students in this calendar year. This is one of the Foundation’s three core student programs "to encourage and develop a new generation of economic geologists".
