Qualifications

Open to students enrolled full-time in earth science at a degree-granting college or university at the undergraduate or graduate level. SEG Student Member status can be no longer than four years for a Master's degree (including undergraduate) and four years for a Ph.D. degree, a cumulative maximum of eight years over the course of academic studies.

Before you begin the application, be sure to have your:

  • Valid credit card
  • Employment/education history
  • Valid Proof of Enrollment (PoE) document - PoE guidelines
  • Sponsor contact information (either your university department head or SEG Fellow)
    It is the applicant's responsibility to follow up with the sponsor.

Completed applications will be reviewed by SEG Member Services. Activation of membership is dependent on availability of sponsor.
