* The Submission Deadline is the same for both applications and appraisals. Late submissions for either one will not be accepted. It is each applicant's responsibility for the appraisal being submitted on time. No exceptions can be made.
Requirements
- Before submitting your application, read the GSF Guidelines.
- Appraisal from two faculty advisors is required. It is your responsibility to ensure both your references complete the required forms by the required deadline.
Eligibility
- Have completed, or are in the process of completing, a B.S. or equivalent degree in the geosciences or a related field.
- Have been accepted, are in the process of being accepted, or at the time of submission are enrolled, as a first-year (ever) graduate student at an accredited college/university offering a graduate program leading to a Professional Master's, M.Sc., and/or Ph.D. in a field that relates to the study of mineral and ore deposits, geochemistry, or geophysics with applications to minerals exploration and mine geology.
- Have not yet completed your first year of graduate studies. Both M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs fall under that category. No exceptions will be made.
- Have not previously been awarded a GSF grant from SEGF.
- SEG is not permitted to award grants or scholarships to students or institutions located in U.S. Sanctioned countries. Students from U.S. Sanctioned countries are therefore ineligible to receive grants and scholarships from SEG. ofac.treasury.gov
- Preference will be given to active SEG Student Members. Join/Renew
