Description
The second installment in the 2022 Exploration and Technology Webinar Series will focus on the evolving use of both machine learning and big data as exploration tools and their various applications across the mining value chain.
It is widely understood that such technology may better assist geologists to "do more" with their data sets, though this series of focused mini-lectures will present real world examples and case studies on how these tools are actually being utilized in exploration, mining, and minerals processing. Highlighting both successes and failures, panelists will discuss application, best practices, and the realities of harnessing these technologies to solve complex problems.
The motivation of this series and webinar is to provide the space for attendees to make the connection between concepts learned in the classroom to the practical application and use of technology to solve real world challenges. The panelists have been chosen for their expertise and for their diverse range of personal and professional experiences that they each bring to the discussion.
